excellent post!! thank you so much! I've had my microtrack for 2.5 years and its crap battery has gotten so bad that it barely lasts over an hour now. I don't use it often enough to justify shipping it to m-audio for a new battery because it takes so long and they charge $75 for it -- this is the perfect solution for me! thanks again :)
